College and Career Fair Coming to Hillsdale County
Hillsdale, Michigan – October 3, 2022
If you are planning on attending college, seeking employment after high school or enlisting in the armed forces in the near future, you should take advantage of the Hillsdale County Community Foundation’s 16th annual Hillsdale County College and Career Fair.
On Monday, October 17th, over 45 colleges and universities from the tri-state area and representatives from the armed forces, and local manufacturing and trade opportunities will be on hand at the Searle Center on the campus of Hillsdale College. Moreover, CHBW, Mi Student Aid, and County National Bank will be on site to provide important financial information. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. students will have a chance to speak with and receive information from the representatives.
This year we have partnered with StriveScan to bring electronic student scanning to our college fair. Please register for a barcode before the fair at www.StriveFair.com. During the fair, you will show your barcode to colleges who will scan it to send you more information about their schools. The day after the fair, you will receive a report with information on the colleges with whom you scanned.
The College and Career Fair will also be the first opportunity for those interested in scholarships administered by the Foundation to acquire the 2023 Scholarship Book. The Scholarship Book outlines all available scholarships and their respective application and eligibility requirements. The Foundation currently holds over 130 scholarship funds from which students can apply for assistance. In 2022, the Foundation awarded $242,000 in scholarships to area students to assist with their educational endeavors.
Along with the Foundation, this event is being sponsored by CHBW, Gem Asset Management, Hillsdale College, and County National Bank.
Anyone looking for further information regarding College Night or the Hillsdale County Community Foundation’s scholarship program should call (517) 439-5101 or visit the HCCF website at www.abouthccf.org.
