Winter Sports Pre-season meeting for all Jonesville High School students interested in playing a winter sport will take place on Wednesday, November 6, at 7:00pm in the high school gym. November 10th is the first day for bowling and competitive cheer. Boys basketball starts on November 12th. Wrestling starts on November 17th. Girls basketball starts on November 19th.
This meeting is for all athletes and their parents/guardians. The meeting will take less than an hour. The meeting will start out with a quick review of the athletic handbook and certain points of emphasis. The athletic handbook will need to be signed by any student athlete that did not participate in a fall sport and a parent/guardian by the end of their first week of practice. The athletic trainer will also be there to discuss the protocols and procedures that need to be followed. We will finish up with each athlete attending a sport specific meeting with the coaching staff of that sport to go over program expectations and hand out schedules.

Today our boys soccer team begins play in the MHSAA district tournament. The Comets take their #3 seed and 11-6-1 record and play Leslie at home at 5:00. Per MHSAA guidelines, no passes will be allowed which means seniors and all JCS students will need to pay. The cost will be $5. Because we are the host for the first round game, we can accept cash or use our Hudl digital ticketing to pay for entrance.
