Comet families and community members! We are still looking for people who would like to help us with our November bond initiative. The time commitment is what you can make it! If you are interested please email eweatherwax@jonesvilleschools.org or call 849-9075. Go Comets!

Good afternoon Comet families! I’m reaching out to you today because of the heat advisory for tomorrow beginning at 11:00 am. The forecast predicts the heat index to reach 105 and that doesn’t include a classroom full of bodies. Consequently, tomorrow Thursday, August 24th will be a half day.
I know half days can be challenge for some families so I do apologize for any inconvenience. However, those temperatures exceed what I’m comfortable with. The football game that is scheduled for tomorrow will be determined by the guidelines set up by MHSAA for heat. Have a good rest of your day and go Comets!
Sincerely,
Erik Weatherwax
Superintendent, Jonesville Community Schools

Clarification on the student sports pass. The pass will ONLY apply to Jonesville home games. This is not a Cascades Conference recognized benefit so will not work for away games. Go Comets!

I want to thank Lucinda Phelps (Director of Food Services) and Tom Young (Facilities Director) for all their hard work prepping, grilling, and serving at last night's open house. They served over 700 hamburgers and hot dogs! And thank you to our board members Sid Halley, Susie Raker, and Kayla Lewis for pitching in!

In honor of school board appreciation month, Jonesville Community Schools would like to thank our school board members for all they do for our staff and students. The position requires a lot of work behind the scenes and some long nights. Thank you for all you do! We look forward to what the future has in store!

I want to thank all the people who have taken time to complete the facility assessment survey! We have had a pretty good response but we could use more. Here is the link to complete it: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DRH9JSC.
It's also on our jonesvilleschools.com webpage. You can also find the results of the facility assessment there too. Thank you and go Comets!!!

Comet Community! I have posted the facility assessment from Elite on our homepage. It's an icon right on the front. If you go to page 15 on the assessment it gives you cliffs notes and key (P1, P2, etc.) for the entire assessment. The following pages provide detail. I will be sending out a survey some time next week to get your feedback on what you all see as priorities.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
