The month of October is a great time for students to be working on and submitting their college applications. If you are planning to apply to a Michigan college or university, use this opportunity to apply for FREE! See the document below for all free applications and specific dates and fee waiver codes for others.

On Tuesday, November 18th, a Financial Aid presentation was given to attending students and parents. During this presentation, information about types of financial aid, the FAFSA form, and next steps were discussed. The following presentation was given and can be reviewed as often as needed. Each week seniors will receive an email from the counseling office with updated information about available scholarships. In these emails, students will have access to a Google Sheet that is updated frequently with new opportunities and active links to the applications themselves.

Scholarships are an important piece of funding a student's college education. It is important to fill out available local applications and also explore other opportunities at the national level. Below are links to websites that are reputable resources and are free for students to use to explore other opportunities. As a rule of thumb, do not pay for any site that matches you with scholarships. Additionally, do not neglect local applications in exchange for national applications. Both are encouraged but precedence should be set for local scholarships.
